This Week in Saarin's Garden

Ready for another weekly garden party at The Little Round Table? A soggy fog has settled over Boston this week. We're stuck at 50 and gray...50 for the high...50 for the low...not a bit of sun breaking through the heavy cloud cover. Since this weather pattern makes for very unlovely garden photos, let's take a little trip across the country to Saarin's garden in Santa Cruz.

What a relief to know that the sun still exists!

Saarin will tell you that this is really her husband Woody's garden and that she just enjoys the blooms. I'm so glad we can all enjoy them this week!

  1. The weather here has turned, and it's exactly like yours, Daphne, so I feel like I'm right around the corner! Good to have the sunny garden pics to remind us what it's usually like this time of year. Thanks for sharing our garden bounty with the blogosphere! cheers, Saarin & Woody

  2. What gorgeous gardens! It's been gray, cool and rainy in Philly too:@)

  3. Daphne, I'm so glad you "visited" out west today! I sure do love seeing that West Coast sunshine! Saarin-I-mean-Woody's garden is beautiful! I recognize some flowers, but not others...Saarin, what is the shrub with the graygreen foliage and lilac blooms? It's lovely!

  4. Hi Elaine, that's Echium, a.k.a. Pride of Madeira. Can get to about 10' tall, and they grow practically wild out here!

    Thanks for visiting Woody's garden!

  5. Morning ladies! What a great surprise to see some views of Saarin's garden. :-) Those Echium are also growing here. Offspring of a couple that Woody gifted me many years ago.

Thanks for coming to the garden party!

  6. It really is a fabulous garden! Lots of surprises! Can't wait to see it in a few weeks!
