Sailing Away to Éire

Ready for a little St. Patrick's Day voyage? Sometimes it's fun to mark a holiday without using any of the traditional symbols of the day. This island-themed vintage tablecloth reminds me of Ireland with all of the boats & fish and castles & cottages, and there's not a shamrock in sight!

Let's follow the lighthouse to the Emerald Isle!

This luncheon setting features Fiesta dinnerware, vintage Cardinal shrimp boats and Oneida Deauville flatware with contemporary napkins, napkin rings and glassware.

The centerpiece is the epitome of high/low shopping, with crystal bowls by Tiffany and a lighthouse from the Christmas Tree Shop.

I hope you enjoyed this St.Paddy's day voyage. I'm sharing our adventure for Tabletop Tuesday at A Stroll Through Life, for Cuisine Kathleen's Blog Crawl and for Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.

If you're up for more tables in shades of green, you may enjoy these gryphons on the tabletop, too!

  7. What a sweet vintage Irish table. Makes me think of "Speed bonnie boat, like a bird on the wing,... carry the lad that's born to be king, over the sea to Skye." Happy St Patrick's Day to you!
